And this weeks Twist is Animals.

So the card I made for this I used a digi which I got on the Free Digital Stamp blog, not too sure who the original artist is. (if anyone knows let me know please)

The embossed panels was made using my Cuttlebug and the Swissdots embossing folder which I then layered onto red. The sentiment I got of the Create with TLC blog.

Photocard!

Good Evening Everyone,

Well, tonights card is a bit different in the sense that I didn't use Promarkers, stamps or digi's......

This is actually the very first Photo card I have attempted seeing the Sweet Stampin Blog has got a challenge on this week to use a photograph, and even though I have hundreds of photographs to choose from I chose one I didn't even take myself! The one I used is one of my own Wedding photographs as I just love the photo and its my Wedding Anniversary in February so decided to make a card for my lovely hubby.....

I had an idea of what I wanted in my head when I printed off the photograph, but in the end it turned out totally different...

Don't know if I am hundred percent pleased might still change it before February, but let me know what you all think. I must admit I do like the vintage feel to this card and by the way those flowers took well over an hour it's the first time I attempted them and I really struggled, but in the end I think I won....

So I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Do You Stack Up? "Distress IT"
Cute Card Thursday "Monochrome...lol and there I go from my first Monochrome last week to my second in only a few days....
Creative Card World "Anything Goes"
One Stop Craft Challenge "Card for a Male" and this is for my hubby, hope it doesn't look to girlie...
My Partner in Crafting Crime ~ Something New, which in this case will be mmm quite a few, the flowers is a new technique I tried and the Chipboard em bellies I got for Christmas of someone, and its the first time I have made a photo card.
Just want to Say Thank You to everyone that has taken time to look at my cards and please feel free to leave me a comment as it is always appreciated....

Tutorial for Ribbon Roses!

Well, Here it goes, my very first Tutorial ever....

I wanted to try some different hand made flowers to use on some of my projects and this is what I made....

You will need:

  • Some Ribbon - Preferably 1.5 cm wide or bit wider.

  • You need about 50 cm or you can use more depending on how full you want the end result of your rose want to be.

  • Needle & Thread

  • Stitch the Ribbon down the length, Just below the middle of the Ribbon.

  • Make sure your thread is quite long as you will need enough to stitch to the end and make some stitches to hold the rose together.

  • When you come to the end of the ribbon do not cut of the needle.

  • Pull on the thread for the ribbon to ruffle.

  • Now start Rolling your rose from the end where your needle is attached after each roll make a stitch to the previous layer to hold your flower in place.

  • When you come to the end fold back the end a little to give it a nice finished look give it a blind stitch to secure it, if you want to you can give an few extra stitches around the flower once you have finished the rolling just to make sure it is nice and secure.

  • Once you have done that you can reshape it a bit with your fingers to give it the look you like.....

Hope everyone found this helpful and clear enough, if not please let me know if your unsure or uncertain about something and I will try my best to improve it where possible!

Enjoy and be warned they can be quite addictive....

Thank You for taking your time to look at my blog, Please know that all comments are welcome and very much appreciated!

CMLI Sketch Challenge

Hi, Everyone in Blogland.

Hope everyone had a lovely day. We had a very nice and lazy afternoon and I actually got some crafty time while hubby and little one was watching dvd's!

Today's card I made for a friend of mine whose birthday is coming up in February.
So I used the sketch from the CMLI Sketch challenge and it was quite an enjoyable sketch.

I also found the following challenge it qualified for:

I Love Promarkers which has a theme recycled! So my flowers I used on this card has been flowers I recycled from a card which I once got for my birthday, I had them for more than a year now and never could find anyting they could go with as I actually rarely use the colour purple!

I am also entering this into the Papertake Weekly challenge which is 'Anything Goes'.
Stamp Something has a challenge to use a Digi and the Crafty Pad has a challenge for Happy Birthday and last but not least the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog has try Something New, which was the flower soft as this was the first time I have used it!

So that's it for today, and the weekend is steadily coming to an end as well! Hope everyone has a good week ahead and may everything go as planned for everyone!

On a Roll!

Hi All,

Wow Looks like I am on a roll, no cards for months and then 2 in two days! Well, my daughter actually got a last minute invite to a tea party tomorrow, so I had an excuse to disappear and go make a Birthday Card!

The Card I made is for a little Girl who turns 2 tomorrow, and one of my little girls favourite friends!

I decided to use one of my Tilda Stamps which I bought like months and months ago and never even openend until tonight!

I used the Sketch from the Sweet Sketch Wednesday Challenge blog and this is what I came up with.

The Papers I used was from a 6x6 paper stack from Paper Cellar which was my very first paper stack I ever bought so this is anchient. And the little Green Flowers was my first purchase for 2011! So this was a very nice mix, Something Old and Something New!
I entered this card for the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday "Out with the Old"
The Creative Cottage " Something New"
Just Magnolia " Anything Goes"
So yeah hope you all like it! Have a fab Weekend Everyone!

Happy New Year!

Hi, Everyone!!

It's been ages! Sorry have been bit busy with some other Ventures that kept me from doing Crafty stuff!

Anyhow, hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and Wish you all a very Happy New Year!

Today I made my first Card in ages, felt a bit odd to start with as I didn't know what to do, or where to start so in the end I ended up in front of a few blogs looking for inspiration and boy did I find loads! Everyone is just sooooo creative!

So here it goes:

I already had a theme in mind before I started I knew I wanted to make a new baby card as I have a friend that is due anyday soon, and as I knew she was expecting a girl I kinda new it will have a bit of pink...lol

So I used the sketch from the Challenge over on Truly Scrumptious.
I also found the following challenge for which this card is suitable when trawling the blogs for inspiration.

Over on Do it with Digi's which is a New Blog they have a their First challenge on 'New Beginnings' as well as on Creative Card Crew and The Creative Cottage challenge blog which is Something New. The Digi Doodle Shop had a challenge to use buttons and Cute Card Thursday was Out with the Old (Which was the buttons I used).

So I think thats it! Feels good to be back, hopefully I will get more time for crafting!

Have a very good evening everyone!
